The Aim of the Rule Sets for us to play these games, is for them to cover, both large, medium & small Field battles & Siege games (where the figure ratio will be 50:1), plus small Skirmish games (where the figure ratio could be either 1:1 or 1:10). For example, a single Hero figure could be seen in a large Field battle or a Siege as being on its base with another 49 others with it. Whereas in a Skirmish, it will be a single Hero. The conflicts we will work through, will form part of the War of the Rings 'Story', that we, the Players will write. Army sizes will be based on how many warriors each leader may send to a battle, based on their total numbers & will not be related to either any Points value or Base numbers. Not all bases need to fight in a battle, as it is a campaign, not a series of one-off battles, so strategic use of troops is vital

Lifespan & Repopulation Times - This will reflect how many warriors can be recovered by birth & training between Battles

Midgard Heroic Battles Rule Book - If you use these rules you will still need to record on the Army Lists (shown on this website), the number of hits each base takes throughout a game & if any Commanders Die. The Army List then needs sending to Graham who will then be use it to update the website, in preparation for the next battle. If this is not done, we cannot count the battle as being part of this Campaign

Middle-Earth Strategy Battle Game - When using these rules you will still keep a record of which Characters are either wounded or killed. Note that Characters can ONLY die in the Campaign if it their year of death from the LOTR Books. If this is not done, we cannot count the battle as being part of this Campaign
