AGREED CAMPAIGN OPERATIONS

  1. Use the Overview of the 3rd Age of the LOTR document on the website to generate battles
  2. Use the base size for troops of 40mm frontage or for larger models, multiples of 40mm frontage. Characters on foot will be based on 20mm by 20mm bases & mounted Characters on 20mm by 40mm bases, with larger Characters on a 40mm frontage 
  3. Army sizes will be based on the max. number of troops available per realm, as shown in the Army Lists, not based on points or base numbers
  4. The ratio for figures in field battles & sieges is 50:1, with each Character being determined based on who or what they are. The ratio for figures in Skirmish games is 1:1
  5. Use the MESBG rule set for all Skirmish games
  6. ​For each battle, it is the Lead Characters choice to bring whatever of their troops they wish to, although a minimum  of 1 base of troops MUST left behind to protect the Homeland realm
  7. Only allow a Character to die in battle, if they die in that battle in the LOTR books. Otherwise if deemed dead in any battle, remove them from the battlefield as injured, losing any influence they had but able to return fully fit in a future
  8. As a group, we will select the battles to play, in sequence, so that some Battles may stay unplayed, but we will all move together as we progress through the Campaign
  9. Each Player will have their maximum army shown on their Player Page, from the beginning of the Campaign. If losses in battle are not recovered by the time of the next battle, those lost troops will be unavailable for the next battle
  10. The Agreed Rule Sets for our Large/Medium filed battles & all Sieges will be based upon The SBG War of the Ring
  11. As each game is completed, the Army Lists will be updated & shown on these webpages. No Realm can ever have more than its maximum troop numbers, than those show on the first Army List shown on these web pages
