As this is the 1st Crusade, knowledge of the armies of the West & East that faced each other for the first time was either unknown or very limited. The Western Princes would have been advised by the Emperor Alexius & his ministers of how the Turks fought, but this was only an overview, based on previous Byzantine contact with the Seljuk Turks.

So for the first year of the 1st Crusade campaign, each of the detailed documents about each army will be hidden from each other. From the 2nd & 3rd Crusades, these documents will be viewable by both sides, for troops that had been in contact since 1096AD.

So the two documents below are password protected & the information within them, needs to be kept secret from the different sides.
