WILD MEN OF DUNLAND
Army List
See Graham for this Army

The Clan based army can have a max. of 4000 men (@50:1 scale that is 80 figures). If Dunland is invaded 500 men (@50:1 a max. of 8 figures) can be added to represent the old men and boys of the settlements.
The "wild men of Dunland" are the Dunlendings, a people who were long-time enemies of the Rohirrim due to historical grievances over land. They were known for their ferocity and hatred of Rohan, which Saruman exploited to recruit them to fight against the horse-lords, notably during the War of the Ring. Saruman manipulated their bitterness, and they became a significant part of his army that attacked Helm's Deep.

Saruman's influence: Saruman cultivated their hatred and used it to gain an army against Rohan, promising them they could reclaim their "ancient lands". They therefore became a Military force for Saruman: The Dunlendings formed a significant part of Saruman's forces, alongside his Uruk-hai and Orcs.
Involvement in major battles: They participated in Saruman's assault on Rohan and were a key part of the army that besieged Helm's Deep.
