  • King Cynfarch Oer surprised King Dyfnwal Hen in Dumfries and having taken the settlement, killed Dyfnwal Hen in single combat when he refused to accept terms
  • Magister Militum Hengist continued his aggression by taking Porchester Shore Fort in Caer Gwinntguic
June
  • Dyfnwal Hen of Alt Clut assaulted & took the town Dumfries in Galwyddel and expelled its Irish warband to West Galwyddel
  • Aesc of Caer Lundein, son of Hengist of Ceint, repulsed the forces of Ambrosius Aurelianus of Caer Gloui, as he attempted to assault London, forcing Ambrosius to retreat back towards his own lands
  • Hengist's Thegn Wilum of Ceint, occupied the empty Shore Fort at Porchester, after its garrison was ordered to abandon it, by Aedile Jordanes, ruler of Caer Gwinntguic
April
  • Hengist of Ceint assaulted & took Pevensey Shore Fort in Rhegin, forcing the Romans to flee
  • Getmund of Caer Colun & ally of Hengist assaulted & destroyed the town of Uckfield in Rhegin, forcing the Romans to flee
  • Hengist & Getmund then assaulted & destroyed the town of Horsham in Rhegin, forcing the Romans to flee. However in this battle Getmund fell & his son Eadig was hailed as the new King of the East Saxons by his army
  • Succeeding in taking all three settlements in Rhegin, the whole state fell to Hengist during 460AD & became an ally of the Magister Militum Hengist
